Fort Lauderdale’s Student Veterans of America (SVA) had their kickoff event with a patriotic celebration. Special guests in attendance were the US Army Lauderhill Recruiting Center Color Guard, Dr. Melissa Gerdes, Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Services who sang the national anthem beautifully, and Mr. Ryan Reiter-Veteran and Director of Government Relations for Kaufman Construction- our guest speaker. The SVA recruited many new members and had their meeting today as well. The next meeting will take place on March 10^th will be the election of new officers.
