Accounting Program Description
Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Accounting focuses on entry-level accounting skills needed in today’s business environment. The program provides a basic understanding of essential business skills and addresses unique skills needed by an accounting clerk. Topics include financial accounting, accounting software and tax accounting.

 
Accounting Program Objectives
The following objectives are designed to meet Keiser University’s mission and its objectives.
  • Students are able to apply generally accepted accounting principles to preparation of financial data used in business decision making.
  • Students are able to properly record business transactions.
  • Students develop an understanding of business and accounting-related software applications.

Prerequisite for Major Courses: None

Accounting Program Outline
To receive an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting, students must earn 60.0 credit hours. Program requirements are as follows.
