Crime Scene Responders must also function as Professional Photographers when documenting Crime Scenes as they get one and only one chance to do it right. When opportunity knocks for an interesting and challenging photo shoot that can help us hone our skills; we are prepared to move. On a sunny and bright morning recently, Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota released two Loggerhead Sea Turtles which had been rehabilitated. The challenge was to capture the event in a photo essay with the harsh, high-contrast lighting to be found on the beach at mid-day. The team photo documented the event and later processed and critiqued their work with an eye to improving their photographic skills for Crime Scenes in all conditions.
