The Clearwater campus partnered with fourteen area companies to create an amazing Career Fair attended by students representing each program on campus, as well as the general educational classes. Students received valuable information about the opportunities for employment in a variety of fields. These included surgical technology, law enforcement, and the business and financial industries, such as banking, insurance, and financial planning. Employer representatives from medical fields were on hand to discuss a range of openings in medical assisting, nursing, tissue harvesting, home health care, and healthcare marketing. Students came away with the knowledge of how to approach the various markets when it comes to finding employment. Employers stressed to students the importance of networking with the student services department, as well as their externship and clinical sites, to help make the transition from being a student to a graduate employed in their field of study.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
