The College of Golf (COG) recent semi-annual Advisory Board meeting included discussion relating to the move of the COG to the  Flagship campus in West Palm Beach and the proposed Bachelor of Science in Golf Management program to be offered in the Fall of 2016.

The meeting began with a tour of the Flagship campus, where Board Members met Basketball Coach Rollie Massimino, who has been nominated for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Following the tour, Board Members discussed the draft proposal for the Bachelor of Science program in Golf Management over a working lunch.

The COG Advisory Board consists of seasoned professionals in instruction, retail management, leadership/management, and education, and their expertise drives the curriculum and classes offered by  COG. Noteworthy members Include: Jack Barrett, Development Director for the First Tee of the Treasure Coast; Rick Martino, PGA Master Professional and Director of Instruction at Trump International Golf Club; Michael Waninger, President/CEO of Hibiscus Children’s Center; Robert Raynes, PGA Member and Partner in The Gunster Law Firm; Mitchell Spearman, PGA Member and President of Mitchell Spearman, Inc. Golf Instruction; Danny Visconti, PGA Member and Director of Golf/Assistant General Manager at The Legacy Golf Club; Bud Beucher, Owner/Vice President of Mission Inn Resort; John Ennen, Graduate of The College of Golf and Golf Instructor for Don Law Golf Academy and Bobby Clampett, PGA Master Professional, PGA Tour Professional, TV Announcer, Author, and Founder of Impact Zone Golf. The strength of COG rests directly with the expertise of these individuals and the expert staff of PGA Professionals who are instructors and administrators in the Golf Management program.
