Keiser University Center for Culinary ArtsCulinary Student promoted to Executive Sous Chef
To future and fellow students, follow your heart and be smart. Listen to everyone and take a little piece of advice from each person but in the end be confident and do what makes you, you. There are many faculty and staff members at Keiser University that have helped me to achieve my goal of working in the culinary field. All my culinary instructors have changed my life in some way; while some have helped me more than others; each instructor left an impression on me. I would also like to thank my Mom who has always been my rock; without her I could not have done this. While at Keiser University I have had a chance to learn about the passions and aspirations of chefs in the culinary field. They have imparted to me their knowledge of the industry and what it takes to succeed. During my time at Keiser University they guided me in my quest to move up in the culinary field. Their passion has inspired me and provided me with realistic expectations of what it takes to succeed in the culinary field. As a result of my education, training, and passion for the culinary field I have been promoted to Executive Sous chef with Aramark Catering at Florida State University prior to my graduation. I have been in the position for roughly six months and while I work very hard, I love it!
