All applicants to the Keiser University Center for Culinary Arts must provide:

Proof of high school completion or GED completion.

An official high school transcript must be sent directly from the graduate's high school/school district or official GED scores sent directly from the appropriate GED testing center or records center.

An entrance exam is required if the student does not have the results of a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing exam (ACT). If either one is available, the required scores are either a combined score of 800 on the SAT or a composite score of 17 on the ACT.

Keiser University has been approved as an eligible institution by the United States Department of Education to participate in Federal Financial Aid Programs.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States are not eligible for financial aid.

Factors to consider include:

Expected family contribution
Enrollment status (full time, part time)
Length of attendance within academic year

Keiser University has the following institutional and Federal Aid programs available to students who qualify:

Grants: Awarded to students with substantial financial need

Federal Pell Grant - A Federal Pell Grant is an award to assist needy undergraduates pay for their education. Pell Grants do not have to be repaid. Students who have achieved a Bachelor's Degree are not eligible for a Federal Pell Grant. Eligibility for a Federal Pell Grant is based on several factors of which the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number is one. If the EFC is between 0 and 2500 you may be eligible to receive Federal Pell Grant funds.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant - The Federal SEOG grant provides additional grant assistance to students. Funds are limited and priority is given to Pell eligible students with exceptional needs. Federal SEOG grants do not have to paid back. Students with a Bachelor's Degree are not eligible for Federal SEOG.
Florida Postsecondary Student Assistance Grant - FPSAG provides grants funded by the State of Florida to needy students enrolled in Associate Degree programs. Students must be full-time, a two year resident of Florida, and apply before the May 1st deadline. To be considered by the state of Florida, your "Free Application for Federal Student Aid'' must be processed. You must have a valid Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number as determined by the Florida Department of Education. Students who meet the State requirements for a Florida Postsecondary Student Assistance Grant will receive from the state a notice of eligibility.
Need Based Scholarship - Keiser University offers a need based scholarship to assist students with exceptional need. Exceptional need is assessed on a case by case basis.

Keiser University also participates in the Federal College Work Study program which gives part-time employment to undergraduate students based on financial need, Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges and the Career College Association's scholarship programs, and also matches all Bright Futures Scholarships.

International Students

Keiser University is proud of the international character of its student body and welcomes students from other nations. All international students must be fluent in English before they enroll. Applicants will be asked to furnish proof that they can read, write and speak English fluently. Keiser University has been approved by the United States Department of Immigration for students to pursue their studies at any of our six campuses. Keiser University can accept F-1 visas based upon the student's program of study. International student applicants must meet the following requirements for admission to Keiser University

Successful completion of a secondary school program equivalent to high school in the United States.

Certification of financial ability to meet tuition and other necessary expenses for 12 months. Please contact an admissions counselor for the total amount.

TOEFL score of 500 or higher (or equivalent) if primary language is not English.

Applications for International Students can be obtained through the Admissions Office and students should apply at least two months prior to the start of the program.

Transfer from International Institutions

Credit from non-U.S. colleges/universities will be evaluated and granted on a course equivalency basis upon receipt of an official transcript. The transcript must be fully translated into English by an authorized translator.
