Lakeland’s Dietetics & Nutrition class wined and dined the staff and faculty during their class project culminating their studies thus far in their program. Their “restaurant”, called Undici Café, which means “Eleven Cafe” in Italian, brought alive the flavors of Italy including caprese salad, homemade gnocchi in pesto sauce, roasted vegetable neapolitan with ricotta-filled meatballs and polenta, cannoli and amaretti cookie, complete with non-alcoholic wine and lemon-rosemary infused water. It was a wonderful four-course meal in a beautifully decorated room with a rustic Italian feel.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
