Flagship campus Sports and Exercise Science department students recently applied the muscular strength and endurance exercise knowledge they’d gained in the classroom toward a real-life scenario.

Principles of Health and Fitness class students each underwent physical assessments in the weight room. They then evaluated their overall percentile scores and rankings, while learning the proper techniques for various exercises and the importance of accuracy when recording the data.

“As most of the students are on athletic teams, this lab helped them to understand the value of being in top physical shape in order to avoid injuries and to perform at their highest levels,” said Professor Julie Snyder,  Flagship Campus Chair of Sport Medicine and Fitness Technology, and Exercise Science.
