Fort Myers SGA’s David Sosa (president) and David Alexander (vice president) recently volunteered their efforts and free weekend time to help keep the local environment as clean as possible. For this year’s International Coastal Cleanup, the SGA members recruited Josh Ward from Student Services and Hospitality student Ronnie James to help the cause. As a team of four, they were able to collect 20-30 pounds of trash from just a section of the local beach; a sad measure of the condition beaches are left in for local wildlife. However, with efforts as strong as what they saw from the community, hopefully that will change.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
