Students at the Fort Lauderdale campus were given the opportunity to display their narrative talents at this year’s Story Slam. The event was organized by seasoned professor of communications, Dr. Enid Sefcovic, was aimed at developing students’ communication abilities through improvisation while at the same time putting their personalities on display.

Biomedical Sciences major April Griffin emerged as the event’s best story teller winning a storytelling CD. Students were judged by a panel of faculty members on a range of criteria including establishing a mood, motivation of the audience to listen, use of expressive language and speaking clearly and distinctly.
