The Fort Myers High School Admissions Department welcomed several new students and families to campus during our, “March Into Your Future” Academic Open House. During the festivities of the open house, there was also a panel discussion of Nurse Practitioners on campus. Several individuals plus panelist attend this part of the event. Some of the programs offered on the Fort Myers campus were showcased in the atrium (Hospitality, Networking Computer Programing and Criminal Justice). Breakout sessions were held upstairs focusing on Crime Scene Technology and the Bio Medical Programs. The High School Admissions Team then did a presentation of KU advantage for the high school students and parents. All admissions counselors were on hand to provide tours and give information.
The “March into Your Future” Open House had many exciting events , activities, and vendors. The Graphics Design Program hosted a wildly successful video game competition titled “Throne of Games”. While the teenagers were battling for prizes and their claim to the throne, our librarian, Lynn Mayfield dressed up as Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus and our Bursar Jennie Ortiz dressed up as her side kick Liz the Lizard. These two held photo ops with the children and had story time in the library.
