In 2014 Lilliam Rosler graduated from the nursing program at the Miami campus but didn’t immediately join the workforce because she was pregnant.  However, she had done her practicum with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital so once she was ready she started working in the operating room. Rosler has been working with the hospital since last May and last week was notified she had been selected to receive the Nurses Week 2016 OR Rookie RN of the Year award.  This is a very prestigious award and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to receive it so she is terribly honored to have earned this distinction.

In her own words: “In one year, I have learned so much as a nurse.  I also became the Urology Specialty Coordinator at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in the OR.  I am part of the Davinci team and am always willing to participate in career day at high schools to teach them about the role of nurses.”
