The Jacksonville campus was asked and accepted the task of hosting the 27th district FBLA competition event for the 2015 school year.  The 27th district is comprised of High Schools from both Clay and Duval counties, and is comprised of more than 400 high school students.

The competition for the day included public speaking, marketing and business plans, ppt presentations and other business related activities.  Judges for events consisted of High School teachers and guidance counselors, county level CTE personnel as well as local business leaders.  Students are judged on several key areas of their cumulative work and earn the right to compete at higher levels throughout the year, with the culmination being national competition for highest scorers from all over the U.S.

Once the logistics were organized through county personnel, Keiser Jacksonville welcomed almost 300 visitors on January 16th, 2015.  The organizers of the event from FBLA couldn’t have been more pleased with Keiser University, the rooms made available for the events and the professionalism of our staff and faculty.  A very nice thank you was received the day after the event which said in part: “Thank you so much for hosting the FBLA District 27 Performance Events! We received many compliments from the advisers about the facility and the professionalism of the Keiser judges…we look forward to the opportunity to work again in the future!”- Mallory Guldi, Business Teacher & FBLA Sponsor at Middleburg High School
