The ASIT program from Keiser University and JAX FISG (The Jacksonville Florida IT Server Group) held the 2016 IT Pro Camp on the Jacksonville campus. We had 567 people registered, of which, 275 attendees, sponsors, speakers and volunteers were present. We had 140 MTA (Microsoft Technology Associated) free certification tests taken and 80 tests were passed including some current students from our ASIT Program like Mr. Joshua Clark and Mr. Breland Scott. This type of event helps IT Professionals and other individuals interested in the information technology field to use it as a great tool to network with IT Pros, IT Educators and industry sponsors, vendors and talent management groups. Our own Campus President Ms. Lisamarie Winslow established the grand opening of the event offering a motivational speech about Jacksonville and the tremendous potential for the professional careers such as the information technology and related professions. It was a wonderful experience for the Jacksonville community and surrounding areas.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
