Eleven Keiser University College of Golf students recently were introduced to the James Sieckmann Pitching Method at the Flagship Campus’ 10,000 square foot outdoor practice facility located in West Palm Beach.

Frank Longabucco, a PGA Certified Professional led the clinic, and was assisted by Brian Hughes and David Wixson, both PGA Master Professionals.

Students gained insight as Sieckmann’s five technical fundamentals and the trail arm only drill were explained and demonstrated.  The lesson was followed by students working closely with the PGA Professionals, and corrections were made as they moved to different training stations.

After learning the fundamentals of the method, students participated in a half-hour practice schedule that included block and random training followed by a game of “21.”  The routine is used by students to improve their short game as they begin to journal their results.

The clinic was well received by students, and some showed almost immediate improvement.  Even more importantly, their introduction to Sieckmann’s Finesse Wedge Method along with a follow-up practice routine will help to improve their scoring and to share the techniques with others in the future.
