For the third year in a row staff and faculty from Keiser University’s Graduate School participated in the Loop the Lake for Literacy in Port Mayaca.

Because this is such an important cause, Team Keiser Graduate School, along with the West Palm Beach campus of Keiser University, increased their fundraising goal and were successful in collecting $3,100 for literacy programming. Over 20 faculty and staff members participated in the ride on Saturday, February 28, 2015.

“We are delighted to, again, have been a part of such a worthy event which sheds a light on the importance of literacy,” said Dr. John Fitzgerald, Doctor of Business Administration Chair.  “About a third of those helped by the Literacy Coalition are adults with reading issues.”

This event supports the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, a not-for-profit organization, and all of their essential programs.  The mission of this group is simple, to ensure every resident of Palm Beach County is able to read.
