Twelve golf team members from Northwood University traveled to the College of Golf & Sport Medicine (COGSM) in Port St. Lucie y for a tour of the facilities and practice area. Nine gentlemen and three ladies received orientation at four stations from Keiser University COGSM PGA faculty members. Mr. Brian Hughes, PGA Master Professional and Program Director, demonstrated the Motion Analysis Technology by Taylor Made (MATT) System virtual swing analysis station, one of only two in the state of Florida. Mr. David Wixson, PGA Master Professional and faculty member, showed off the Full Swing Golf Simulator and Taylor Made Club Fitting Cart. Mr. Frank Longabucco, PGA Professional Certified in Instruction and Golf Operations and faculty member, explained the variables of the putting stroke using the TOMI Putting Analysis Software. Mr. John Callahan, Golf Magazine Top 100 Adjunct Instructor and faculty member, worked with students on the V-1 Video Computer Swing Analysis System and Trackman Launch Monitor. Mr. Jesse Dake, Manager of the Club Repair Facility and COGSM graduate, provided hands-on demonstrations of golf club measuring, bending, and repair equipment.
