Staff members from the Flagship and West Palm Beach campus recently attended the Sixth Annual Women’s Executive Day Keynote Luncheon at the PGA National Resort and Spa. Led by Presidents Dr. Gary Vonk and Kimberly Lea, the group enjoyed the event which is hosted at PGA TOUR tournaments in communities nationwide to bring together hundreds of local business leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs for an engaging day of professional development, networking, and idea sharing.
With a special focus on leadership in sports, distinguished panelists and speakers provided a wealth of knowledge designed to help participants strengthen management and negotiation skills, learn to use golf as a business tool, and ultimately help build professional relationships. Keynote speakers included Dawn Aponte, who had served as Executive Vice President of Football Administration with the Miami Dolphins, and Wendy Selig-Prieb, a corporate attorney and highly accomplished business leader. Their messages were very informative, motivating, and educational. The hundreds of attendees rewarded both speakers with thunderous applause throughout their presentations.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
