Dietetic & Nutrition students in Dr. Dona Greenwood’s Dietetics in Community Health course at the Lakeland campus volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank, part of the national Feeding America network, which focuses on providing food to the more than 700,000 hungry in the 10-county area of West Central Florida.  Nineteen students helped box 10,800 pounds of food which equates to 9,100 meals in two and a half hours.  These future dietitians also toured the facility and participated in an informational session lead by the registered dietitian for Second Harvest.
