Medical Assisting students obtained hands-on experience, while teaching and learning from Sports Medicine & Fitness Technology students. Medical Assisting students obtained vital signs and performed EKG’s on Sports Medicine & Fitness Technology students before and after physical activity to learn about the effects of strenuous activity on the body. While Sports Medicine & Fitness Technology students performed physical activities, they informed the Medical Assisting students about the different activities. The Sports Medicine & Fitness Technology Program utilizes the Fitness Center at Orlando Christian Prep behind the Orlando campus, so it was a mini-field trip for the Medical Assisting students. What a great mutual learning experience for the Medical Assisting and Sports Medicine & Fitness Technology students!
