The Pembroke Pines campus hosted a seminar for the Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Systems and Data Communications and Cyber Security students and faculty.  Richard Lopez of Open Sky Drones in Coral Springs, FL. presented students with an up-close view of this increasingly demanding and upcoming technology.  The Computer Science team is working on innovative ways to teach programming.  The College of Advanced Technology students are now writing software applications for drones in ways that are cutting-edge and new to the industry. The latest application is one that allows drones to locate forest fires.
