Students in the Daytona Beach Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant class were asked to complete their final case studies by incorporating a treatment based live presentation/ demonstration of their activities to the school during an OT Treatment Fair. Students were given actual evaluations of real pediatric patients to use when researching their final case study projects. They were instructed to utilize evidence based practice research strategies to effectively address their patient’s deficits. The student’s then presented their treatment strategies to their peers during an open house type setting. Students’ utilized creative and engaging treatment plans in order to facilitate student participation and provide the campus with more information about pediatric occupational therapy.
