Port St. Lucie’s “Stay Warm” Project held at L.A.H.I.A. (Love and Healing in Action) was a huge success thanks to the support of all who helped. Over 200 items were given away to the homeless and the surrounding community in Stuart who would not have had anything for Christmas. The smiles on their faces were priceless.

A few heartwarming examples:  A mother of nine children who had nothing left the event with tears of joy in her eyes because all her children had “new” clothes. One homeless man picked out a particular jacket because he used to have one “just like it” and it reminded him of better times.  The look in his eyes said hope.
