Eight graphic design and social media program students visited Ampersand Graphics in Stuart.  The company began making T-shirts in a garage for teachers more than 30 years ago and has expanded to two locations with a special division for embroidery and T-shirts called Ampersand Shirt Shack.  The students enjoyed learning about the family-owned and operated business that works with some of the area’s largest clientele such as Coral Sky Amphitheatre, Martin County School District, Martin County Fire Rescue, Sheriff’s Department, and Parks & Recreation, Treasure Coast Marathon, Seacoast National Bank, and even Keiser University.  Students learned the basics about how to get into the business through graphic design, customer service and graphic production. They learned about potential job opportunities in each area. Facility tour guides were Jeremy Savard, designer at Ampersand Graphics and Brad Love, owner of Ampersand Shirt Shack and they are members of the Keiser University graphic design program advisory board.
