Members of the Beta Xi Pi, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society from the Ft. Lauderdale campus congregated at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center in Pompano Beach  to assist the Broward Children’s Center with hosting a Special Olympics event for their children. The event was kicked off by a Step Dance performance and then continued with the games. The volunteers worked with the children to play the games and race their opponents. In addition there was a canine corner with therapy dogs for them to play with.  Keiser University has a long history of working with the Broward Children’s Center. Many OTA students do their clinical rotations at their 2 facilities. In addition, Keiser University has been volunteering to assist them with toy drives and events during the winter holiday’s for many years.
