The City of Lakeland hosted the SkillsUSA statewide competition. Adrianna Smithson, CRC from the Lakeland Campus and John Bowman, Assistant Associate Vice Chancellor of HS Relations attended this event on behalf of Keiser University and were able to meet community members and prospective students. Keiser hosted the dessert reception on Tuesday evening for the Advisors and Teachers of the students who competed in the various career and skills based competitions. Smithson and Bowman were able to address the attendees and promoted Keiser’s participation with SkillsUSA and the betterment of their students.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industries working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. We provide educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms.
