Every student in the Sports Medicine & Fitness Technology BS program on the Melbourne campus volunteered in the Girls on the Run (GOTR) Space Coast Chapter’s “Pirate Plunder Race” event. Students assisted over 1,100 runners navigate the 2 mile race course, cheered on runners from ages 7-77, and helped in the set up and break down of the event. According to GOTR, the KU students were a big part of the event’s success! SMFT students are looking forward to volunteering and giving back to the Melbourne community again in the near future. Way to go Melbourne!
