Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology (SMFT) students practiced ankle wrapping in class.  In the sports medicine world, wrapping ankles is common practice for injured athletes. Athletic tapping is common practice for most Athletic Trainers.  The most common reason, for athletic tapping, is to restrict the range of motion to allow the injury to heal. The idea is if we limit the extremes of the ankle’s range of motion we can help prevent ankle injuries and allow the athletes to return to play quicker.
