Michelle Huey, 19 currently enrolled into the Occupational Therapy Assisting Program at Keiser University Fort Myers. Although balancing a high GPA along with pursuing an athletic career seems impossible, Huey not only exceeds academically but also athletically. Michelle started BMX racing at the age of 12, ever since then she has collected numerous titles ranging from winning #1 in the state of Florida 5 years in a row to winning #1 nationally. This past July, Huey was 1 of 8 selected to represent the U.S at the World Championship in Belgium. “My weekly schedule is hectic but I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Huey said. Michelle plans on continuing her dream of becoming an occupational therapist while earning a spot on the Olympic team in 2020. “In order to succeed, your desire for success must be greater than your fear of losing.”
