Students in an Economics class at the Port St. Lucie campus met with top executives from Seacoast National Bank to learn about the banking industry and how these key individuals have built their reputations in the industry.

Dr. Kate Parparian, the Business Program Coordinator, reached out to the bank to set this meeting up to supplement student classroom understanding of our monetary system, a component of the study of the macro economy.  The students will meet with Mr. Denny Hudson, CEO, Mr. Chuck Shaffer, Retail Banking Executive, Mrs. Terri Sloan-Bartz, Community Banking Regional Director and Mr. Jay Walker, Financial Analyst during their hour-long meeting.

“Thanks to the various connections our staff and faculty have within the Port St. Lucie community, we are able to provide our students with invaluable experiences such as these to help them get a sense for all the opportunities that are ahead of them in their career,” shared Jane Quattrocchi, Dean of Academic Affairs.

Two employees from Seacoast National Bank also serve on the Advisory Board for the Business programs at the Port St. Lucie campus.
