Mrs. Laura Jordan from the Nursing faculty, with the support from Dr. Adams, Occupational Therapy Assistant Department Chair, facilitated a lesson for the OTA students. Scenarios were set-up for the students to practice therapeutic use of self with various interventions for clients having specific diagnoses. They experienced how to handle a situation and implement respect and dignity for their patient.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
