Tampa’s Occupational Therapy Assistant Program – Boardroom to Classroom

The Introduction to Occupational Therapy students in Ms. Mary Pavao’s class had the opportunity to connect with the AOTA(American Occupational Therapy Association) Board of Directors to discuss important, current issues within the occupational therapy profession.  Through online teleconferencing, Dr. Denise Chisholm, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA hosted a 1-hour discussion with a focus on, “Articulating OT’s Distinct Value” and “Applying “Evidence to Practice.”  The students came prepared with excellent questions and all persons involved were inspired to be active members of the Occupational Therapy profession.
