Tampa’s RT students recently had the opportunity to attend an orthopedic workshop on campus to facilitate learning alternative images typically performed in orthopedic offices. The purpose was to expose students to how imaging is performed as routine examinations when working in an orthopedic environment.  Many of the Tampa students rotate through orthopedic offices at some point during their clinical rotations, so it was very beneficial to students to actually see how imaging is performed.   One of Tampa’s Radiologic Technology graduates is currently employed by this Orthopedic practice, and therefore she was able to bring a variety of real-world props used daily within radiologic practice.  By attending this workshop, Tampa’s RT students were able to synthesis and integrate their learned skills and practical experience while participating in the workshop.
