For residents of Florida, here are some state and local resources for veterans and active military:

  • Veteran Identifier on Driver’s License – take 2214 into DMV to get added to license. A veteran can show a license at several locations and gain free admission or discounts.
  • 30% or more disabled veterans get in free to all National State Parks – apply for pass every 3 years. Veterans also do not pay for fishing and hunting licenses if they show ID.   • Westgate Resort hosts this each year – check website for days available and start date to sign up and you will receive a complimentary three-day, two-night vacation at one of the following resorts: Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo (River Ranch, Fla.), Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa (Orlando, Fla.), Westgate Vacation Villas & Spa (Orlando, Fla.), Westgate Town Center & Spa (Orlando, Fla.), Westgate Towers (Orlando, Fla.), Westgate Branson Woods Resort (Branson, Mo.) and Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa (Gatlinburg, Tenn.).
