Students and staff participated in the Autism Speaks Walk.  For the last few months, the entire campus participated in activities to promote awareness and earn funds for the Autism Speaks organization.  Student organizations such as HOSA, NSNA, and SGA conducted fundraising activities, including penny wars. The efforts were successful in raising $1,236.93.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

Students from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program participated in a walk to end type 1 diabetes.   Funds raised from this club reached $100 and will be used to will help fund life-changing research to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D)
