The Ft. Lauderdale campus celebrated Black History Month with a presentation from students, faculty, and staff. Mr. Nicholas Blaga, Director of the Library, told us about Black History Month, Arielle Lherisso, OTA Student presented a poem she wrote: Black Don’t’ Crack, Shakina “Nicholas” Ellis, Business student, talked about his family history being a descendant of a Buffalo Soldier and the book he wrote: Our Founding Step Fathers, and finally Dr. Agaptus Chikwe wore traditional African wear and talked about his African background and the meaning of the attire.  Dr. Gary Von, KUFTL President and Director of Student Services Violet Nikolici Lowrey presented the speakers with a Certificate of Appreciation for their participation.

The library at the Ft. Lauderdale campus has displayed books and posters in the library for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy as they celebrate Black History Month.
