Keiser University (KU) is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of its website for all users and to take steps so that individuals with disabilities are not excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently because of their disability.
To continue to improve the accessibility of its Website, Keiser University is committed to implementing, the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guideline Level AA (WCAG 2.1 AA) as it is web accessibility standard. We have experienced accessibility consultants to assessing our website’s accessibility to persons with disabilities and to provide us with specific recommendations and feedback to facilitate further accessibility and conformance with WCAG 2.1 standards to the Website. Our plan is to have our website tested on a periodic basis with assistive technology such as screen readers and screen magnifiers in order to ensure that our site remains accessible.
Accessibility Widget
Keiser University has an accessibility widget on every page of the which utilizes various technologies to make it as accessible as possible at all times. The accessibility interface allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
