Belinda Keiser, Keiser University’s Vice Chancellor of Community Relations and Student Advancement, was recently acknowledged by Florida TaxWatch for her contributions as an Executive Committee Member and Volunteer leader.
Recognized as one of Florida’s most influential business leaders, Keiser was presented with a cast bronze eagle award as part of Florida TaxWatch’s 46th Annual Meeting. The three-day-long event, held in Orlando, Florida, provided statewide business and legislative leaders with an opportunity to connect while gaining insights into legislative and economic trends. Attendees were able to dive into the latest developments in Florida’s key economic sectors through engaging panels and accomplished speakers. The meeting also paid homage to Piyush Patel’s (immediate former chairman) three-year contribution to Florida TaxWatch and celebrated President and CEO Dominic Calabro’s 45-year-long presidency at Florida TaxWatch, who will be retiring at the end of this year.
Included among Florida Trend’s prestigious 2024 Florida 500, Keiser is regularly lauded as one of Florida’s most influential business leaders and has devoted her career to advancing Florida’s economy and workforce development, education, and healthcare communities. As the leader of Keiser University’s public relations, government relations, and student services departments, she has been an advocate for social mobility, accessibility to higher education, and talent development for more than 40 years.
Through her leadership, which includes the development of a statewide task force focused on developing solutions to Florida’s growing nursing shortage, Keiser continues to serve Florida students, families, and employers as a state and national leader in nursing graduate production.
Keiser established the Keiser Mills Foundation, which provides unique scholarship and learning opportunities to students seeking international, entrepreneurial, leadership, and civic engagement experiences as part of their college education. She is also a member of the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet and the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Enterprise Florida, the State’s primary economic development board, and Space Florida, the aerospace economic development agency for the State of Florida. In 2016, Belinda Keiser was entered into the Congressional Record in Recognition of Women’s History Month by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart for her work in the areas of education, public service, and philanthropy.

The instructors at Keiser University impacted my life. They believed in my ability to become a great graphic designer, regardless of how I felt about my skills. KU helped to prepare me for the real world and got me to where I am today.
