Lakeland Nuclear Medicine Technology students heard about the importance of credentialing, certification and registration during a special visit from the Relationship Manager from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Lisa Hazen, R.T. (N) (ARRT), CNMT, FSNMTS, works closely with students to help educate them on the necessity of credentialing within allied health fields. Nuclear Medicine is a branch of Radiologic Technology and is governed by unique credentialing standards that promote quality patient care. It is important for students to recognize the qualifications that govern their industry, as well as to understand the reasons that these guidelines are in place.
She told them it’s always good to be on top of your game, especially when facilitating advanced standards of care, and emphasized a quote from Theodore Roosevelt that has been adopted by the ARRT as a motto: “No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
