Students from the Hospitality program at the Jacksonville campus had the opportunity to meet with Governor Rick Scott and Commissioner James K. John. The meeting took place at Harbinger Sign, its purpose was to discuss the future of jobs in Florida. Enterprise Florida and Visit Florida have brought 56,130 jobs to Florida since 2010 creating economic growth. One of our students reflected on the information discussed, “We would like to keep Enterprise Florida and Visit Florida in our state because both of these entities have a direct impact on tourism and can bring in new jobs for our field of learning”, – Angela Talbot, Hospitality student
