Recently Keiser University earned a ranking on Best Value Schools “25 Best Associates In Accounting Degree Programs” for the 2021 schoolyear. Keiser earned the No. 17 spot on the list that compares colleges and universities from around the country.

Keiser’s Associate of Arts in Accounting degree focuses on entry-level accounting skills including communication and ethics needed in today’s professional environment. The program provides a fundamental understanding of not only essential practitioner skills but also addresses the unique skills needed by an entry-level accountant.

The program is offered in-person at many campuses, including Keiser University’s Latin America campus in Nicaragua, while also giving students an option for courses fully online. Best Value Schools says that this fact aided in Keiser’s placement on their list.

Best Value Schools is an organization based out of Utah that aims to compile resources for students to make the decisions about post-secondary education less confusing. They create lists of top ranked schools for different subjects and strengths in the hope that prospective students can find a degree program and school that fits their individual needs.

Their ranking methodology is created using a formula that considers a school’s yearly tuition rate and its graduation rate. The formula takes this rate and adds a multiple equivalent to the percentage of enrolled students who did not graduate from the school. The lower the rating, the higher a school ranks on their list.

Besides offering an associate degree in accounting, Keiser University also offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. The Master of Accountancy program is available fully online through the online graduate school.
