The American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) is the largest physical therapy conference held annually at various locations across the country. This year it was held in Anaheim, California.  CSM results from a collaborative effort of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and 18 specialty sections which provide learning, networking and advocacy opportunities for physical therapy professionals.  The APTA Board of Directors, specialty sections and other special interest groups held meetings and receptions during the conference. This year CSM was record setting with over 11,000 attendees.  Keiser University’s contribution to the Foundation for Physical Therapy was highlighted during CSM on materials provided to attendees.  The Student Physical Therapy Associations (SPTA) has supported the Foundation for Physical Therapy during the “Pittsburgh Marquette Challenge” for the past 2 years.  Dr. Marangela Prysiazny Obispo, the PTA Program Director of the Miami campus and Dr. Leona Rodriguez, the PTA Program Director of the Fort Lauderdale campus presented a poster titled “A Description of an Interprofessional Education (IPE) Experience in a Physical Therapist Assistant Program”.  Keiser was well represented; also in attendance was Dr. Claudia Medeiros, the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Miami campus and Dr. Eileen Hamby, the PTA Program Director of the Melbourne campus.
