Keiser University Vice Chancellor Belinda Keiser was recently named to the 2023 Florida 500, a list of the state’s most influential business leaders produced annually by Florida Trend Magazine.

Now in its sixth year, the Florida 500 showcases the most influential executives in different economic sectors throughout the state. The list is compiled by Florida Trend editors using an immense, year-long research initiative. Florida 500 honorees demonstrate impact beyond their companies with a high premium on community service and philanthropy. Those included in the Florida 500 are individuals to whom others in their communities or industry sectors turn to for leadership or who set a standard for best practices in their sector.

Keiser has devoted her career to advancing Florida’s economic and workforce development, education, and healthcare communities. She leads Keiser University’s public relations, government relations, and student services departments and has been an advocate for social mobility, accessibility to higher education, and talent development for more than 40 years.

During her tenure, Keiser University has grown into Florida’s largest, private, not-for-profit university, serving 20,000 students at 21 Florida campuses, online, and internationally. Through her leadership, Keiser University continues to serve Florida students, families, and employers seeking career-ready graduates and has become a state and national leader in the production of nursing graduates. Most recently, Keiser led a statewide taskforce focused on developing solutions to Florida’s growing nursing shortage.

Keiser established the Keiser Mills Foundation, which provides unique scholarship and learning opportunities to students seeking international, entrepreneurial, leadership and civic engagement experiences as part of their college education. The foundation has awarded more than $72 million in scholarships to needs-based and academically deserving students.

Keiser is a member of the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet and the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for both Enterprise Florida, the State’s primary economic development board, and Space Florida the aerospace economic development agency for the State of Florida. In 2016, Belinda Keiser was entered into the Congressional Record in Recognition of Women’s History Month by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart and Speaker Paul Ryan for her work in the areas of education, public service, and philanthropy.

Joining Keiser on the Florida 500 were 29 other educational industry leaders from Florida’s public and private universities, K-12 public and private schools, and educational foundations. Keiser University Chancellor Arthur Keiser has previously been named to the Florida 500 before being named one of 208 Florida 500 Living Legends in 2020.
