Four students from Lakeland’s Social Media Communications bachelor’s degree program have secured competitive internships within their field of study. Alison Streicher and Kayla Bianchi were selected to work with Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing (PCTSM), a division of Polk County Government. They will assist with special events and participate in variety of marketing projects to help promote the organization.
Jessica Kircher was chosen by the Executive Director of Main Street Bartow to help develop the organization’s social media efforts and to assist with web development, branding and community outreach.
Jennifer Gnann landed an internship with Mine and Mill, an industrial supply company in Lakeland. After a few weeks as an intern, she was offered a full-time position working in social media and marketing.

My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
