Human Resource Expert Panel Highlight’s Job Search Do’s and Don’ts

Keiser University Flagship Campus students recently enjoyed a “How to Land Your First Job” educational forum which creatively highlighted career search do’s and don’ts.

Opening with a humorous skit depicting inappropriate interview behavior, participants were provided a number of opportunities to interact with an expert panel of human resource professionals as they delved into topics relating to common interview mistakes made by millennials, employer preferences, social networking etiquette, networking and resume writing skills, and more.

Directed by Lisa Prue, Associate Professor and Accounting Chair, the event was sponsored by the Keiser University Flagship Campus Accounting Program and the Palm Beach Area Chapter of The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Panelists included John Haymore, Human Resources and Safety Manager at Quantachrome Scientific Instruments; Midge Reichert, Director of Career Planning at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus, and Ginny Schlosser, Division Director of Robert Half Management Resources.

Flagship Campus’ PGA Day Introduces Opportunities 

Keiser University’s Flagship Campus recently introduced its students to the many professional opportunities offered by the resort and golf industry as it hosted a representative from Palm Beach County’s own internationally recognized resort. “The Flagship Campus is excited about the developing partnership with PGA National Resort and Spa. The recruiter who attended today’s event witnessed firsthand how excited and prepared our students, including our College of Golf students are for future employment opportunities with PGA National, ” said Midge Reichert, Keiser University’s Flagship Campus Director of Career Planning.
