Hanger Orthotics and Prosthetics presented current technology to the Jacksonville OTA Cohorts 18, 19, and 20.  The speakers, Ben Higgs, CPO, and Geoffrey Hemmen, C.P., from Hanger clinics in Jacksonville, presented an excellent overview on Prosthetic  and Orthotic evaluations and goals,  psychological perspectives, patient priorities, interface design, computer applications, and rehabilitation. Current and new technology was demonstrated and available for student practice following the presentation. Many of the pre-fabricated splints used in the presentation were graciously donated to the OTA Department.
