The Physician Assistant Program Welcomes the Chief Medical Officer for Broward Health

Dr. Dan Westphal the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Broward Health visited the Ft. Lauderdale Physician Assistant Program as the special guest speaker for the Leadership Distinction Program. Dr. Westphal presented a highly informative and relevant presentation on what “Professionalism” means in the Medical field and how it is tied to ethics, integrity and leadership. He shared valuable insights and entertaining real life stories of encounters he had over the years as a physician and administrator. One PA student said, “Dr. Dan was a great lecturer with some great stories and advice to be successful in the clinical world’, another PA student commented, “Wonderful presentation on ethics and leadership. He is a wealth of knowledge.”
