
On December 19, 2025, Keiser University Latin American Campus hosted a press conference announcing the official launch of the Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence. This is the first four-year undergraduate AI degree program in Nicaragua.
The event marked an important milestone for the institution. It also highlighted its commitment to academic innovation, emerging technologies, and workforce development in high-demand fields.
The press conference introduced the new academic program in artificial intelligence. The program is designed to prepare students in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, cloud computing, and data science.
In addition, speakers emphasized the importance of advancing technical education. This responds to global industry needs and the growing demand for professionals in AI-related fields.
Dr. Oresteban Carabeo – PhD in Artificial Intelligence and inventor of more than 25 patents in AI, cybersecurity, and neuroscience.
Also present were members of the media, academic leaders, and institutional representatives.
The launch reinforced Keiser University’s role in advancing higher education in emerging technologies. The program is expected to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce prepared to meet the demands of the global digital economy.
