Lunch plans? Join the RSC for Dr. Andrew Gibson’s presentation, “Building Applied Neuromuscular Research at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus: Integrating Wearable sEMG into Student Scholarship.”
This presentation explores wearable sEMG research at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus and its role in supporting applied student scholarship. Dr. Andrew Gibson will explain how wearable EMG technology was introduced into the Exercise and Sport Science program and how it has developed into student driven research initiatives.
The session highlights ongoing projects focused on neuromuscular fatigue and functional movement. Student led research includes work on medical stability considerations in older adults and exercise responses related to Factor V Leiden.
The presentation also examines how wearable EMG technologies support experimental research, student scientific dissemination, and the continued development of applied exercise science.

Dr. Andrew Gibson is a graduate faculty member in Exercise and Sport Science at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus. He specializes in applied neuromuscular physiology and wearable sEMG technology.
His research focuses on neuromuscular fatigue and functional performance, particularly in older adults. He also integrates students into hands on, experimental research.
His work supports student driven scholarship and connects laboratory research with real world applications in exercise science.
This presentation is part of the Keiser University RSC Continuing Education Series. Upon completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
